Through the hardest of times, I pushed ahead using all the challenges in front of me to fuel my passion. In the end, I learned valuable lessons that I continue to use today.
As I sit down to write this letter, I reflect on many of the lessons learned and obstacles overcome through my career and realize that every step along the way has contributed to my approach to my clients today. My experience gained through many different real estate markets shows me what is needed to navigate and adapt as changes occur.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in engineering and my MBA before entering real estate as an investor in 1996 and licensed in 2003. Real estate provided the opportunity for me to be present with my children while they were still young whereas I was always on the road with my previous corporate career.
I have found over the years that my engineering expertise and business background have been invaluable in providing true value to my clients when listing or buying their homes.
I found my true passion in educating and guiding others by providing valuable financial advice and counseling for real estate. Even through the toughest years after the 2008 recession, I stuck with real estate because of that passion to help others make informed decisions to obtain their goals.
There was a lot of uncertainty during those lean years, but I have never been afraid of hard work. Growing up on a farm in Illinois, I developed a strong work ethic at a young age. I do what needs to be done and find ways to adapt when circumstances change. The quickest way to get me to do something is to tell me I cannot do it. I am determined to find solutions and will stop at nothing to achieve them.
It was not easy building my career and navigating the recession while my children were still young, but it was worth staying the course. I adapted, tightened my belt, and brought my children with me when I needed to, inducting them into real estate early on through picking up bottle caps at my rentals.
I love being a father – my family is everything to me. Real estate allowed me to be there for every recital, every game, and even though it was hard for a few years I never considered turning my back on it. In fact, during those tough years, I dove even deeper into the industry by obtaining my broker’s license.
I have been teaching real estate and finance classes at West Chester University since 2009. For me, real estate has never been about the transactions that I can close, instead it has always been about the knowledge I can share with others to help them on their journey. As an investor, I personally acquired and managed up to 26 units along the way and have hands on experience in the industry to leverage.
That passion to educate others has inspired me to become an expert on estate sales, wealth building, estate planning, passive income, and all the financial ramifications my clients could face through a transaction. When I earned my MBA, it opened my eyes to the financial world of real estate, and I enjoy sharing that with others.
During the hardest times, my drive pushed me to do more. Through the process, I realized nearly anything is possible with enough knowledge, hard work and dedication.
Whenever I am not working, I enjoy practicing yoga, snowboarding, meditating, hiking, biking, and camping. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is meeting people and hearing their stories as I play a part in beginning their next chapter. It’s why I do what I do every day.
With my background in construction, finance, and engineering, I am uniquely positioned to help my clients.
From finding the perfect house to navigating long-term expenses, I can help you uncover the best solutions to fit your lifestyle. It is important to me that you have all the information you need to make the best decision possible, so I will be straightforward about the pros and cons of every option.
I have been in real estate for decades and have lived here in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. I understand the communities here and what each has to offer. If you choose me as your agent, I will work tirelessly to help you achieve your goals because I do not give up.
When someone says, “You can’t,” I will go right out and show them how we can together. Through setting realistic expectations, educating you on your options, and utilizing creative solutions, I am confident I can help you get where you want to be. Once the transaction is over, I will continue to help you succeed as your lifelong REALTOR®.
Sincerely,
Ron Ehman
